Senior Oracle PL/SQL Developer (Oracle)

Location: Remote (US); U.S. citizenship is required. Relocation expenses are not compensated. Some travel may be required, and work hours may include additional hours or weekends when needed.

Salary: $125,000–$145,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop Oracle databases across the full lifecycle, including data modeling, architecture, SQL and PL/SQL development, performance tuning, testing, and production support.
• Design maintainable database solutions for high-volume web applications and develop complex PL/SQL packages, triggers, types, and data pipelines.
• Analyze and optimize SQL queries, execution plans, indexing strategies, and database performance at scale.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and implement changes across the product base.
• Produce technical analysis and design specifications from functional and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with developers, DevSecOps engineers, designers, and analysts while establishing coding, review, testing, and documentation standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years of production experience developing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Expert knowledge of Oracle RDBMS and performance-tuning tools and techniques, including AWR, ASH, execution plan analysis, and indexing.
• Experience with Git-based workflows, CI/CD tooling, and database migration frameworks such as Liquibase or Flyway.
• Experience writing PL/SQL unit tests with utPLSQL or a similar framework.
• U.S. citizenship is required; applicants may be subject to a federal background investigation and additional classified-information eligibility requirements.
• A bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, computer science, or a related field is preferred and may be waived for equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Java Spring Boot, Angular, React, Vue, TypeScript, or cloud-hosted Oracle environments such as AWS RDS or OCI.
