What you will do

• Lead the migration of legacy logic from Redshift/Postgres into Databricks silver and gold layers.
• Implement complex, modular, and performant data models using dbt and Spark.
• Own the LookML layer to ensure explores and dashboards are intuitive and accurate.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business questions into Looker-based reports and visualizations.
• Mentor data analysts and engineers to foster technical excellence in SQL and architecture.
• Identify and reduce data debt while optimizing pipeline latency and throughput.

Requirements

• 5+ years of applied experience in Analytics Engineering or Data roles within B2B/SaaS environments.
• Extensive expertise in architecting dbt projects and managing complex Looker environments.
• Proven experience with Databricks and writing, improving, and troubleshooting complex SQL queries.
• Must be based in Canada.
• Strong cross-functional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience contributing to a collaborative on-call rotation.
