Location: Must be based in the United States (Remote)

Salary: $148,000 – $197,000 / Year

What you will do

• Design and implement core backend service features for scalable platforms.
• Develop unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure feature reliability.
• Document design decisions and operational knowledge for large-scale deployment.
• Implement service-level logs, metrics, alerts, and dashboards for production observability.
• Create runbooks to operationalize features for cloud service setup.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems and first-principles thinking.
• Proficiency in multi-threading and concurrency.
• Experience with Go, Java, or similar languages.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, Cassandra, MySQL, and Elasticsearch.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Production experience with concurrency programming.
• Experience with Go and open-source systems.
• Exposure to workflow engines.
