Salary: $133,500 - $212,000 base

What you will do

• Design and implement a next-generation queueing library to support massive real-time traffic.
• Build products to gracefully handle widely varying traffic patterns in queues.
• Develop self-service platforms allowing internal teams to integrate seamlessly with high-scale message streams.
• Identify and resolve critical performance bottlenecks within the system.
• Collaborate with a lean engineering team to prioritize incoming traffic and schedule long-running workloads.

Requirements

• Experience designing, developing, and operating asynchronous systems.
• Proficiency with queueing technologies such as RMQ, SQS, or Kafka.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Scala is used internally).
• Must have US work authorization.
• Passion for developer experience and a growth mindset.

Nice to have

• Experience managing operations in datastores used in services.
• Experience with Scala ZIO and reactive domain modeling.
• Contributions to open-source queueing technology.
