What you will do

• Underwrite new business and renewals within delegated schemes, focusing on PI, D&O, and FI.
• Manage a portfolio of 5–10 schemes, handling referrals and broker queries within agreed SLAs.
• Build and maintain strong trading relationships to position the company as a preferred schemes partner.
• Take end-to-end ownership of scheme portfolios, ensuring sustainable growth.
• Collaborate with underwriting and product teams to improve controls and scheme performance.
• Provide insights into portfolio performance and contribute to future planning and binding authority development.

Requirements

• Experience in Financial Lines (PI, D&O, FI) or a strong foundation as a developing/trainee underwriter.
• Proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of tasks and manage deadlines.
• Confidence in communicating with brokers and internal partners.
• Must be based in or able to work from Leeds, Manchester, or Birmingham, UK.
• Availability for hybrid work (3 days per week in the office).
