TL;DR

Motor Claims Handler (Insurance): Managing a portfolio of Fleet and Specialist motor claims from inception to settlement with an accent on indemnity validation and quantum assessment. Focus on managing Personal Injury and credit hire claims while ensuring minimal indemnity spend through commercial decision making.

Location: Hybrid; Must be based in Liverpool or Sevenoaks, UK

Salary: £28,747 – £38,160 plus £2,000 annual bonus potential

What you will do

  • Manage a portfolio of Fleet and Specialist motor claims covering accidental damage, property damage, credit hire, and personal injury.
  • Validate all claims for indemnity and fraud and assess liability.
  • Establish exposure for all Heads of Damage and perform accurate quantum assessments.
  • Collaborate with in-house motor engineers to reduce overall exposure on vehicle losses.
  • Maintain accurate reserves and manage diaries to progress cases efficiently.
  • Coach and mentor less experienced claims handlers.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in Personal Injury (PI) and/or credit hire claims.
  • Extensive working knowledge of the Pre-Action Protocol, Civil Procedure Rules, and hourly rate costs.
  • Experience handling Injury claims outside of the Low Value Personal Injury claims Portal.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Must have at least one year remaining on a Graduate or Post-Study Work visa; sponsorship is not provided.
  • Ability to pass DBS and financial checks.
