Information Security Engineer

What you will do

• Perform secure configuration and hardening of Windows/Linux systems and basic networking tasks.
• Manage vulnerabilities: validate, prioritize, coordinate remediation, and document exceptions.
• Apply IAM fundamentals including least privilege, MFA, and account lifecycle management.
• Handle logging/monitoring: work with common log sources, basic SIEM, and alert triage.
• Write baseline configurations for enterprise systems (at least 10 per month).
• Document processes, manage tickets, present recommendations, and collaborate with IT partners on improvements.

Requirements

• 2+ years in information security engineering (or equivalent: consulting, training, military, education)
• Secure configuration/hardening fundamentals (Windows/Linux) and basic networking literacy
• Vulnerability management skills
• IAM fundamentals: least privilege, MFA, account lifecycle
• Logging/monitoring fundamentals and SIEM concepts
• Strong documentation, ticket discipline, and customer communication
• Education in Computer Science preferred
• Experience with MS Office, JIRA, Confluence, project and relationship management (1-2 years)

Nice to have

• Scripting (PowerShell/Python) for automation/reporting
• Cloud security fundamentals (AWS/Azure/GCP) and virtualization
• Familiarity with security tools (EDR, SIEM, vuln scanners)
• Common frameworks/controls (CIS, NIST)
• Finance or large enterprise experience
