TL;DR

Sales Security Engineer (Cybersecurity): Driving sales success for Public Sector (SLED) accounts by delivering technical demonstrations and managing Proof of Value evaluations with an accent on vulnerability management and exposure management. Focus on aligning technical cybersecurity solutions with business objectives and supporting RFI/RFP responses for government entities.

Location: Must live in Bay Area / San Jose area or surrounding region. Remote options available in Phoenix, Salt Lake City, and Las Vegas.

What you will do

  • Deliver technical demonstrations of hirify.global’s platform to showcase value and differentiation to potential customers.
  • Assist with enterprise software trials and "Proof of Value" evaluations to ensure alignment with customer goals.
  • Provide consultative security and compliance insights to help customers address business challenges.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives to achieve revenue targets and support commercial deals.
  • Contribute to responses for RFIs and RFPs for public sector accounts.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to influence the direction of the product portfolio.

Requirements

  • Must live in Bay Area / San Jose area or surrounding region.
  • Ability to assess vulnerabilities and attack paths across IT, Cloud, and converged OT/IoT infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity fundamentals: Vulnerability Management, ASM, EDR, PAM, and IDAM.
  • Knowledge of security principles spanning major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Understanding of public sector compliance standards such as CIS, NIST, GovRAMP, and FedRAMP.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% within the designated territory.

Nice to have

  • 1-3 years of experience in a technical or pre-sales role.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as Security+ or CySA+.
  • Basic understanding of TCP/IP and network security concepts.
  • Interest in or familiarity with scripting (e.g., Python) or automation tools.
