Head of Customs & Foreign Trade Hungary (Automotive)

What you will do

• Gather and analyze business requirements from regional stakeholders and translate them into system and process implementations.
• Define, standardize, and continuously optimize internal customs and foreign trade processes.
• Advise decision-makers on logistics routes, international customs regulations, tax aspects, scenario analyses, and alternative concepts.
• Act as an internal and external contact for customs and foreign trade topics and participate in customs working groups and networks.
• Maintain communication with customs authorities and support customs approvals and simplifications.
• Conduct customs cost analyses and contribute to decision papers and strategic concepts.

Requirements

• University or University of Applied Sciences degree with 3–5 years of relevant professional experience, or a comparable qualification.
• Experience coordinating or working with customs-related IT systems; involvement in system selection is an advantage.
• Knowledge of the Union Customs Code, preferential origin, Free Trade Agreements, special customs procedures, and goods classification.
• Very good written and spoken English and German are required.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, initiative, flexibility, teamwork, and conflict management skills.
