Regional Category Manager CAPEX (Construction and Engineering Services)

Location: Budapest, Hungary; hybrid work arrangement. Occasional travel is required 3–4 times per year.

Salary: HUF 15,840,000–21,120,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop the regional category strategy for construction and engineering services in alignment with the global strategy.
• Build stakeholder networks and manage strategic supplier relationships, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and contract compliance.
• Build CAPEX forecasts and pipelines, consolidate business needs, and support delivery of the project portfolio.
• Lead and develop a team of five category buyers while tracking performance and procurement savings.
• Negotiate supplier terms, support RFQs, lead multi-location projects, and deliver savings objectives.
• Introduce innovation and best practices while managing supplier issues, risk, ESG, CSR, safety, quality, and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a relevant field.
• Professional CAPEX procurement experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
• Construction experience and knowledge of pharmaceutical construction and equipment supplier markets.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, project management, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of procurement systems, processes, and procedures, plus proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and spoken German and English are required.
