Field Technician

TL;DR

Field Technician (AV Systems): Providing on-site service, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of integrated audio-visual systems with an accent on complex diagnostics, component replacement, and system commissioning. Focus on troubleshooting projection systems, switchers, control interfaces, and delivering reliable technical support in corporate, education, government, and institutional environments.

Location: On-site in Harrisburg, PA. Travel to customer locations within driving distance (mileage reimbursed). Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle required.

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 a year

What you will do

• Perform on-site service calls and preventative maintenance at customer locations
• Troubleshoot and repair complex audio, video, and control systems
• Diagnose and replace components including projection systems (LCD/DLP/CRT), switchers, and control interfaces
• Install, modify, and test integrated AV systems
• Provide technical phone support to clients and internal teams
• Complete service documentation, coordinate product returns, and maintain customer relationships

Requirements

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and servicing audio-visual systems
• Experience with integrated AV, control systems, and video/audio distribution
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working independently at client sites
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
