TL;DR
Technical Operations Manager, Field Operations - HUT/CO Facilities (Telecom): Lead teams of technicians, contractors, and vendors to deploy, install, test, and maintain fiber optic network elements and HUT/CO facilities with an accent on vendor validation, equipment maintenance, and financial controls. Focus on analyzing performance data, ensuring supplier compliance with Google standards, and delivering executive reports on project progress.
Location: Austin, Texas; San Antonio, Texas. This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
Salary: $153,600 - $169,000 + bonus + cash award + benefits

What you will do
- Lead technicians, contractors, and vendors to install, test, and accept new network elements including fiber optic plant, HUT/CO facilities, and equipment like network power, OLTs, and routing/switching gear.
- Oversee maintenance and repair of network and power equipment in HUT/CO facilities.
- Validate supplier build/test processes against Google requirements and industry standards.
- Partner with Finance and Controls teams to manage budgets and financial controls.
- Develop project documentation and create reports/presentations for executives.
Requirements
- Must be located in Austin or San Antonio, Texas.
- Not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years managing vendors, contracts, and budgets on large-scale telecom projects.
- Experience managing/maintaining HUT/CO equipment including network power, access gear, and routing/switching hardware.
- 5 years in vendor management with customer-facing responsibilities.
Nice to have
- Experience managing large-scale projects from start to finish.
- 5 years deploying/maintaining network equipment like OLTs, network power, and routing/switching hardware.
- Proven collaboration on cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving role responsibilities.
- 7 years in telecom/cable industry or related construction/engineering/project management.
