SDET, Team Lead III (Fintech)

TL;DR

Test Team Lead (Fintech QA): Lead strategy, health, and improvement of test practices across multiple pods in a global cloud platform with an accent on AI adoption, automation infrastructure, and quality enablement. Location: Fully remote position located in Colombia (Bogotá or Medellín).

What you will do

• Review and refine test tools/frameworks, build new automation frameworks for microservices and integrations, audit test suites for coverage and value.
• Host technical meetings, resolve issues, advise on tools/processes, support deployments and pipelines.
• Conduct automated/manual testing, maintain product knowledge, write code during critical phases.
• Assess quality via metrics, review defects, promote shift-left practices.
• Oversee peer reviews, enforce standards, mentor team in automation and AI, support career growth.
• Promote AI tools for testing, develop up-skilling plans, run training sessions, integrate AI best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years in software quality engineering, including 2+ years as technical lead or senior automation engineer
• Proficient in modern automation framework (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, RestAssured, Karate)
• Experienced with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI)
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures, microservices, API testing (REST, GraphQL, event-driven)
• Background in mentoring/coaching test teams, defining/executing test strategies in agile
• Excellent communication with technical/non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-assisted testing tools or Copilot-based script generation
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP and testing distributed systems
• Knowledge of observability tools (NewRelic, Datadog, Grafana, Splunk)
• Background in automation or emerging tech training
