What you will do

• Advise business teams on compliance with privacy, AI, and related laws across regional and global projects.
• Review and advise on data protection terms in licenses, vendor, SaaS, and other agreements.
• Guide product strategy considering data protection, consumer rights, and business needs.
• Support sales and marketing on compliance for advertising, mobile apps, social media, and communications.
• Collaborate with security, governance, risk, and audit teams on data protection risks and incidents.
• Assess product features, data processing, and initiatives for legal, privacy, and IP compliance.
• Develop playbooks, self-service tools, privacy notices, and contract templates for product launches.

Requirements

• J.D. or equivalent degree with strong academic performance; licensed to practice law in the U.S.
• 3+ years practicing law.
• Familiarity with GDPR, GLBA, CPRA, and other data privacy frameworks.
• Experience partnering with product and engineering teams on data protection and AI requirements throughout product lifecycle.
• Exposure to intellectual property matters and drafting contract templates/playbooks for software/payment products.
• Excellent communication, issue-spotting skills, and solutions-oriented mindset.

• CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPT, or AIGP certification.
