What you will do

• Grow and support the US ambassador network, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Identify and onboard new ambassadors in key cities and coach them on running high-quality events.
• Organize and host community events, including hackathons, workshops, and meetups across the West Coast.
• Set standards for event quality and support leadership visits and future US conferences.
• Translate community insights and feedback back to the Europe-based team.

Requirements

• Based in San Francisco or the broader West Coast area.
• Experience in community roles at tech companies with developer tools or infrastructure DNA.
• Proven experience with developer-focused event formats like hackathons and workshops.
• Ability to operate autonomously with a Europe-based team and manage a 9-hour time difference.
• Existing right to work in the US.

Nice to have

• Experience working with ambassadors or open source community dynamics.
• Prior experience with hirify.global or comparable workflow automation tools.
• Data literacy and comfort tracking community health metrics.
