Senior Software Engineer (IoT)

TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (TypeScript/Node.js): Building customer-facing APIs and backend systems for an IoT connectivity platform with an accent on scalability, reliability, and AI integration. Focus on designing REST/GraphQL APIs, managing AWS infrastructure via Terraform, and owning features from discovery to production.

Location: Must be based in Germany or Poland (Remote available within Germany)

What you will do

• Design and deliver scalable backend capabilities for customer and partner portals.
• Drive API design decisions using REST and GraphQL with a focus on long-term maintainability.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
• Improve system observability, reliability, and testing practices across the domain.
• Own the full feature lifecycle, including operation, on-call rotations, and incident resolution.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to raising the overall engineering bar.

Requirements

• Strong experience building scalable backend systems with TypeScript and Node.js (NestJS preferred).
• Proven track record of designing and evolving production REST APIs.
• Solid experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform.
• Hands-on experience with data modeling and performance optimization in SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Ability to own features end-to-end and make sound architectural trade-offs.
• Must be based in Germany or Poland.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL.
• Active usage of modern AI coding tools in your daily workflow.
