NPDI Sourcing Engineer (Supply Chain)

What you will do

• Lead procurement activities for NPD/NPI programs from initial concept through production ramp-up.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to influence design-for-cost, design-for-supply, and supplier selection.
• Identify and onboard new suppliers to support innovative products and emerging technologies.
• Lead supplier RFQs/RFPs, negotiations, and contract development for NPD components.
• Develop cost models, should-cost analyses, and total cost of ownership (TCO) assessments.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks related to single-source components or constrained materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing, specifically supporting new product development or launches.
• Legal authorization to work in the US; sponsorship is not provided.
• Strong understanding of NPD/NPI processes and manufacturing environments.
• Proven negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or PMP.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and procurement analytics tools.
• Experience in research-driven or advanced manufacturing environments.
