TL;DR
Senior Partner Development Manager (SaaS): Identifying, sourcing, and developing high-impact distribution partnerships to drive step-change growth with an accent on outbound acquisition and executive-level alignment. Focus on negotiating complex commercial agreements, designing GTM motions, and scaling retail POS partner ecosystems.
Location: Remote (anywhere in Canada) or Hybrid (3 days/week in office)
Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 CAD

What you will do
- Identify, qualify, and land a portfolio of top-tier distribution partners with significant long-term value.
- Develop partner penetration plans, pitches, and joint value propositions.
- Negotiate complex commercial agreements balancing internal capabilities and partner requirements.
- Plan and document end-to-end GTM motions, including joint marketing activities and success metrics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Track and report on partnership acquisition results and calibrate ROI forecasting.
Requirements
- 7+ years of proven experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or channel strategy in SaaS, payments, or tech.
- Must be based in Canada.
- Demonstrated success in cold sourcing and initiating high-value relationships from scratch.
- Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder negotiations from sourcing through to execution.
- Strong business acumen and ability to quickly qualify high-value partnership opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable influencing at the C-suite and VP level.
Nice to have
- Experience developing multi-year strategic partnerships with enterprise or platform partners.
- Established network/rolodex within target retail technology channels.
- Experience with legacy POS channels or API-driven partnerships.
- Knowledge of various distribution models, including referral, reseller, and embedded.
- Strong commercial and data analysis skills for modeling business cases and ROI.
