What you will do

• Scope and lead AI augmentation and automation projects, including data extraction, summarization, and multimodal LLM-powered bots.
• Develop novel algorithms for NLP, data extraction, and autonomous reasoning, such as few-shot learning and agentic reasoning.
• Establish research strategies and rigorous experimentation protocols to evaluate AI model accuracy, consistency, and real-world impact.
• Automate complex, branching workflows for insurance coverage and fulfillment using a combination of AI/ML and RPA/scraping.
• Scale ML pipelines to be robust across various drug classes, patient populations, and inconsistent input data formats.
• Collaborate with clients and the CEO to align technical research with business growth and profitability.

Requirements

• Strong programming skills and a solid foundation in Computer Science.
• Proven research background in ML/NLP with publications in top-tier conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, EMNLP) or significant open-source contributions.
• Experience deploying complex ML solutions, such as reasoning agents or multi-step workflows, into production environments.
• Deep understanding of transformer architectures, reinforcement learning, and multimodal models, with proficiency in PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Must be based in and work in person from the New York office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal debates and external client relationships.
