Software Engineer (Query Integration)

TL;DR

Software Engineer (Query Integration): Building user-facing features on top of the core query engine and integrating query with hirify.global ecosystem products with an accent on time-series, analytics language support, Atlas Search, Vector Search, and workload telemetry. Focus on designing and implementing query performance improvements, robustness enhancements, diagnostics, and new feature integrations.

Location: US or Canadian offices or remotely in the North America region.

Salary: $137,000 — $189,000 CAD (Canada).

What you will do

• Understand and improve current hirify.global query engine functionality.
• Contribute high-quality C++ code and participate in code reviews.
• Identify, design, implement, test, and support new features for query performance, robustness, language enhancements, diagnostics, and product integrations.
• Work with peers to deliver excellent technical solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in computer programming.
• Hands-on experience building industrial-strength software.
• Solid CS fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, software design/architecture.
• Experience with large codebases, preferably C++.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Interest in database query engine theory and practice.

Nice to have

• Experience in databases/data management systems.
• Hands-on experience or M.Sc./Ph.D. in database query engines.
