What you will do

• Build high-throughput, cost-effective data pipelines for feature extraction and indexing in a web-scale IR system.
• Develop and optimize core algorithms and ranking models to improve search engine retrieval and relevance.
• Design and implement efficient data structures and indexing techniques for massive amounts of web content.
• Collaborate with machine learning teams to integrate advanced models for query understanding and personalization.
• Develop control plane systems to manage distributed compute clusters, storage, and networking components.
• Implement real-time updates and streaming algorithms for deduplication and topic clustering.

Requirements

• Must be based in Sunnyvale, CA, USA.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in system design and architecture (reliability and scaling).
• Experience developing large-scale distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• Proficiency in Object Oriented Design.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
