Salary: $180,500 — $248,150 USD

What you will do

• Design and implement highly available backend services using Scala, Java, Go, or C++.
• Build scalable distributed systems powering the platform across sovereign and air-gapped clouds.
• Solve complex architectural trade-offs around concurrency, storage, and networking for high-consequence public sector environments.
• Drive "zero-waste" compute initiatives to optimize engine performance in GovCloud and specialized regions.
• Partner with Production Engineering to ensure backend services meet the highest security standards and compliance guardrails.

Requirements

• Eligibility for Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
• 9+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep understanding of Distributed Systems, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Strong production-level experience in Java, Scala, Go, or C++.
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience building and deploying large-scale SaaS or cloud-native applications.

• Possession of a current polygraph (Counterintelligence or Full Scope).
