TL;DR

Staff Auditor (Finance): Executing assigned audit procedures across financial, operational, and IT processes with an accent on internal controls and risk management. Focus on performing walkthroughs, substantive testing, and ensuring compliance with Global Internal Audit Standards.

Location: Hybrid: Deerfield, IL (Flexibility to work from home Mondays and Fridays)

Salary: $60,000 - $99,000 USD

What you will do

  • Execute fieldwork, including control and substantive testing, and maintain workpapers meeting professional standards.
  • Apply data analytics using Excel and Power BI to expand test coverage and corroborate conclusions.
  • Support SOX/ICFR activities, including walkthroughs, remediation testing, and deficiency evaluation.
  • Draft concise issue statements linking risk, evidence, impact, and action according to IIA requirements.
  • Collaborate with leadership to discuss audit findings with stakeholders.
  • Travel up to 25%, primarily within North America and occasionally internationally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, IT, data science, or a related field.
  • 0-4 years of experience in internal audit or accounting; Big 4 experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with IIA Global Internal Audit Standards (2024) and COSO Internal Control Framework.
  • Proficiency with Excel.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, primarily within North America.

Nice to have

  • Willingness to pursue CIA, CISA, or CPA certification.
  • Proficiency in AI, automation tools, and data analytics/visualization.
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese or Spanish.
