Electrical Test Tech Lead (Hardware): Lead development of lab-based test infrastructure and validation for highly integrated human performance optimization products with an accent on system-level testing, automation, and scalability. Focus on architecting Python-based frameworks, scalable test fixtures, and best practices to accelerate iteration, de-risk designs, and support multiple programs.

Location: On-site in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.

Salary: $130,000 - $185,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead a small team of electrical test engineers and technicians, setting direction, priorities, and expectations.
• Set technical vision and roadmap for electrical test infrastructure, aligning with hardware and product goals.
• Own and architect system-level validation across development phases in partnership with systems engineering.
• Define and enforce best practices for test architecture, automation, data quality, and documentation.
• Architect Python-based test infrastructure, automation frameworks, and lab test systems including fixtures and instrumentation.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to influence product architecture for testability and robustness; travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.

Requirements

• BS or greater in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in system validation, test engineering, electrical engineering, or similar roles.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring and driving team execution.
• Strong electrical engineering fundamentals and extensive hands-on lab experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and similar equipment.
• Experience with scripting (Python or similar) and version control (Git).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical skills with system-level thinking, and excellent communication for cross-functional leadership.
• Strong commitment to embracing and leveraging AI tools in day-to-day tasks.
