TL;DR

Product Manager (Payroll): Building innovative payroll product features and enhancements from the ground up with an accent on compliance, efficiency, and seamless user experience. Focus on leading the full software development lifecycle, leveraging data for roadmap prioritization, and collaborating cross-functionally to drive impact.

Location: Remote in the US (authorized states: CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, MA, MD, MN, NC, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA) OR Hybrid in NYC office 2-3 days/week (Tue-Thu) for New York Metro Area candidates.

Salary: $160,000 - 180,000 per year

What you will do

  • Write requirements for new features and enhancements, leading development through QA, UAT, Beta, and Go Live.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product Design throughout the software lifecycle.
  • Leverage user research and market data to prioritize the product roadmap.
  • Manage roadmap for your team and track success metrics for company and client impact.
  • Partner with Sales and Client Success on business development and retention strategies.
  • Execute complex work at scale.

Requirements

  • Direct or indirect payroll experience required; ability to learn complexities quickly if not building payroll products before.
  • Demonstrable Product Management experience building, shipping, and iterating products.
  • Strong product sense, execution bias, and deep domain problem-solving.
  • Hard work ethic, strong communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent time/project management, prioritization, ownership, and Agile experience.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success.
  • Appreciation for compliance-user delight balance and client feedback action.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with HR, Payroll, Benefits systems (ADP, Workday, Rippling, Gusto).
