UX Engineer Intern (Applied AI)

What you will do

• Contribute production-ready frontend code using React and TypeScript.
• Apply design judgment to ensure interaction consistency and information hierarchy.
• Collaborate with PMs and engineers to solve ambiguous product problems and map user mental models.
• Iterate on designs based on feedback from team members and real users.

Requirements

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in CS, HCI, interaction design, or a related field.
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS within a real codebase.
• A portfolio demonstrating ownership of interaction design and technical implementation.
• Strong design eye for identifying and fixing inconsistent patterns and unclear hierarchy.
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate development workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-powered interfaces, such as copilots or chat-based workflows.
• Familiarity with data-dense interfaces like dashboards and multi-panel layouts.
