Senior Program Manager (Aerospace)

TL;DR

Senior Program Manager (Aerospace): Managing all aspects of spaceflight hardware and software programs from contract award through delivery with an accent on meeting contractual obligations, resource coordination, and risk mitigation. Focus on financial planning, schedule execution, customer communication, and proactive issue resolution for high-impact programs valued at $5M–$30M.

Hybrid – Arvada, CO. This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.

Salary: $125,000–$180,000 Annually (Arvada, CO)

What you will do

• Manage all program aspects from contract award to end-item delivery, including support to sales and proposals.
• Serve as primary customer contact, ensuring all contractual requirements are met.
• Coordinate multi-disciplined teams, interfacing with functional managers for resource assignment.
• Plan, schedule, budget, and execute programs with financial acumen and risk mitigation.
• Prepare status reports for monthly reviews and coordinate customer visits and reviews.
• Identify and resolve issues proactively to maintain customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical or Business Management and 3–8 years of program management experience or equivalent.
• Intermediate to Advanced skills in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in proposal preparation, EAC/ETC, scope and change management, material/labor forecasting, risk mitigation.
• Strong negotiating, communication, and people-handling skills.
• Knowledge of scheduling, cost reporting systems, and contractual terms including FAR 15 & TINA.
• Self-motivator with passion for challenges.

Nice to have

• Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) with 7–10 years in aerospace/defense manufacturing.
• Experience with DoD customers and DoD contractual terms.
• PMP certification.
• Experience with electronic systems and managing multiple programs.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project and Excel.
