What you will do

• Influence the roadmap and deliver new features for a large-scale database to solve customer problems.
• Design, build, and operate critical systems, owning their reliability, performance, and availability.
• Contribute to the Mimir OSS project and other open-source initiatives within the ecosystem.
• Drive projects from initial conceptualization to production operations.
• Participate in follow-the-sun on-call rotations to ensure service stability.
• Collaborate on design documents and perform rigorous code reviews.

Requirements

• Solid experience with Go (familiarity with Python, C, C++, or Rust is also applicable).
• Experience delivering cloud software or systems engineering projects in a self-driven manner.
• Proven track record of writing clean, robust, and performant software.
• Familiarity with observability systems (metrics, logs, traces) for debugging.
• Experience with the DevOps model and participating in on-call rotations.
• Must be based in Spain, Germany, the UK, or Sweden.

Nice to have

• Experience working with Kubernetes.
• Experience with queue systems, such as the Kafka protocol.
• Previous operational use of Grafana and Prometheus.
• Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts.
