Salary: CAD $195,000 – $225,000

What you will do

• Design and implement backend services using Rust and Golang to support analytics features.
• Manage Kubernetes deployments and monitor system performance and stability.
• Lead projects by writing technical design documents and specs while maintaining a hands-on coding role.
• Participate in peer code reviews and on-call rotations to resolve production issues.
• Perform data analysis and performance monitoring to identify optimization opportunities.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience building backend microservices at scale.
• Proficiency with statically typed languages, preferably Rust and/or Golang.
• Experience with ClickHouse, Cassandra, or similar NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Apache Kafka for distributed system event streaming.
• Must be based in Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Background working on an Analytics team.
• Experience with continuous build in an Agile environment.
