What you will do

  • Lead and participate in on-site and virtual meetings with investment managers to evaluate governance and operational capabilities.
  • Review fund offering documents, legal structures, compliance policies, and financial statements.
  • Monitor third-party advisors using diligence surveillance tools and AI-enabled platforms to identify reputational and operational risks.
  • Develop deep expertise in alternative investment strategies including hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital.
  • Communicate diligence findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders through written memos and briefings.
  • Coordinate multiple project workstreams across the GSAM XIG diligence functions.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated aptitude for the alternative investment industry and global financial instruments.
  • Strong analytical and research skills to identify control strengths and weaknesses.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interviewing senior professionals.
  • Technological proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive initiatives within a complex organization.
  • Must be based in London, UK
