Kotlin/Java Developer (Fintech)

Location: Cyprus, with relocation to Limassol and work from a fully equipped city-center office.

What you will do

• Develop payment features and services for a high-load payment gateway.
• Design and implement internal and external APIs and integrations with payment providers, processors, gateways, and 3DS.
• Create and maintain Camunda processes and contribute to distributed system architecture.
• Optimize application performance, database queries, scalability, and service reliability.
• Write tested code, review code, investigate production incidents, and resolve technical support requests.
• Define technical and business epics, prepare implementation tasks, estimate effort, and collaborate with QA, analysts, product managers, team leads, and architects.

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial Kotlin development experience.
• Experience with Spring, MySQL, Redis, microservices, event-driven architecture, Apache Kafka, TDD, and CI/CD.
• Experience developing payment solutions and integrating external providers.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools and critically reviewing generated code for production quality.
• Experience implementing simple and moderately complex interfaces with ReactJS and/or Svelte.
• English proficiency at B1 level or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience with Camunda, AWS, Jira, and GitLab CI/CD.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and other information security methodologies.
