hirify.global is hiring for a Kotlin libraries role focused on foundational software development.

What you will do

• Create and maintain foundational libraries for Kotlin core primitives used by hundreds of thousands of developers.
• Develop expertise in specific computer science and software engineering domains.
• Participate in a design committee shaping the Kotlin API.
• Help create standard Kotlin tools, specifications, and language features.

Requirements

• JVM development experience, including implementation-level knowledge of the Java standard library.
• Strong understanding of the relevant technical domain.
• Ability to write design documents for complex systems and clearly justify trade-offs and technical decisions.
• Experience in performance engineering or API design.
• Interest in language standards, Unicode, time zones, string representations, interface hierarchies, and JIT-friendly optimization.
