Kotlin/Java Developer (Fintech)

Location: Cyprus, with an equipped office in Limassol. The role includes full relocation support and a 3-year Cyprus work visa.

hirify.global is developing a payment gateway for accepting funds on behalf of merchants and transferring funds from merchants to users.

What you will do

• Develop payment features and services using Kotlin and Java.
• Design and implement internal and external APIs and integrations with payment providers, processors, gateways, and 3DS.
• Design and develop high-load, scalable microservice architectures.
• Create and maintain Camunda processes, optimize system performance and database queries, and resolve production incidents.
• Write test-covered code, conduct code reviews, maintain technical documentation, and collaborate with QA, analysts, product managers, and architects.
• Define technical and business epics, prepare implementation tasks, estimate effort, and support sprint planning and developer onboarding.

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial Kotlin development experience.
• Experience with Spring Framework, payment solutions, external provider integrations, MySQL, and Redis.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture, distributed messaging systems such as Apache Kafka, microservices, TDD, and CI/CD.
• Experience implementing simple and moderately complex interfaces using ReactJS and/or Svelte.
• Practical experience using and critically reviewing AI-assisted coding tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, or Codeium.
• English proficiency at B1 or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience with Camunda, AWS, Jira, and GitLab CI/CD.
• Understanding of PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and other information security methodologies.
