What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain high-availability backend services that meet reliability and performance goals.
• Deploy and manage services within Kubernetes environments and troubleshoot production issues.
• Improve system observability through metrics, logs, traces, and dashboards using Splunk, Datadog, and Grafana.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Site Reliability teams to deliver resilient infrastructure.
• Review code to identify improvements and reduce technical debt.
• Participate in a shared on-call rotation and contribute to incident response.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US.
• Experience with distributed systems in a modern private cloud-based environment.
• Proven track record of building or supporting high-throughput, reliable backend services.
• Proficiency in C#, Java, .NET Core, or similar backend technologies.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., MS SQL) and optimizing queries at scale.
• Understanding of modern software development practices and Agile methodologies.

Nice to have

• Around 4+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience with messaging and queuing systems such as Kafka or AMQ.
• Familiarity with Linux-based systems.
• Experience working in compliance, data governance, or regulated environments.
• Contributions to open-source projects or technical communities.
