What you will do

  • Execute annual financial crime Enterprise-wide Risk Assessments, including risk identification and control evaluation.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments in AML/CTF, ABC, and sanctions within the Fintech industry.
  • Draft annual external reports for regulatory authorities and liaise with the FCA and NCA.
  • Design and deploy controls for new products, markets, and business partnerships.
  • Analyze trends in financial crime and recommend enhancements to first-line controls.
  • Manage CDD escalations and approve high-risk customers (e.g., PEPs).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in financial crime within 2LoD of an FCA-regulated firm or consultancy.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks in the UK, US, EU, NZ, Australia, and/or Canada.
  • Experience designing and implementing internal controls from scratch, including automation.
  • Experience working within a fast-growing, scale-up business.
  • Experience conducting AML/CTF and sanctions compliance monitoring reviews.
  • Exceptional analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
