What you will do

• Perform in-depth mechanical analysis and structural integrity assessments for Layer Picker machines.
• Evaluate fatigue life, stress concentrations, weld integrity, and bolted connections.
• Calculate strength and lifetime for moving parts including bearings, shafts, chains, and gears.
• Identify obsolete components and propose suitable replacement solutions.
• Develop inspection scopes and acceptance criteria for machine lifetime extensions.

Requirements

• Current student in Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical field.
• Strong theoretical knowledge of mechanical design, strength calculations, and lifetime analyses.
• Proficiency in FE-based design.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Structured and analytical approach with high attention to detail.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor.
