What you will do

• Lead the research, development, and deployment of frontier Multimodal ML techniques to solve complex energy grid challenges.
• Provide deep technical mentorship and lead high-stakes architecture design reviews for production-grade ML systems.
• Partner with infrastructure teams to build scalable ML pipelines that process grid data at Google scale.
• Collaborate with Power Systems experts to ensure AI strategies are grounded in physical reality.
• Communicate machine learning advancements to cross-functional stakeholders and high-level leadership.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in Mountain View, CA to support a hybrid work model.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 6+ years of deep experience in machine learning model development and deployment.
• Proven experience in technical leadership or people management roles for ML-centric teams.
• Proficiency with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Jax/Flax.
• Experience with MLOps and deploying models on enterprise platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure.
