What you will do

• Provide first line risk oversight, including identification, assessment, and documentation of key risks and controls.
• Lead and challenge the RCSA process to ensure robust and well-evidenced outcomes.
• Manage risk events, perform root cause analysis, and implement lessons learned.
• Maintain risk registers, monitor risk appetite, and deliver high-quality risk reporting.
• Execute first line assurance and control testing to improve risk maturity.
• Coordinate regulatory activity and track the closure of audit and compliance actions.

Requirements

• Experience in a first line governance, risk, compliance, or assurance role within financial services or a regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of risk frameworks, governance structures, and control methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills for distilling complex issues into senior-ready outputs.
• Strong analytical thinking and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

Nice to have

• Experience in second line GRC functions.
• Professional risk or governance qualifications (e.g., IRM, ICA, CISI).
• Experience supporting SMCR environments.
• Exposure to fintech, platform, or wealth management settings.
