Location: Hybrid (Must be based in the UK; requires spending at least 40% of time at a Risk Hub in Edinburgh, Leeds, Halifax, Cardiff, Bristol, Birmingham, or Chester)
Salary: £85,500 - £110,000

What you will do
- Partner with first-line collaborators to influence strategy, product design, customer journeys, and key risk decisions.
- Provide expert second-line conduct and compliance oversight to ensure regulatory expectations are met and risks are mitigated.
- Identify, assess, and escalate conduct risks, issues, and emerging themes across Business and Commercial Banking.
- Translate evolving regulatory requirements, such as Consumer Duty, into pragmatic guidance for business implementation.
- Drive improvements in risk management and control maturity through outcome testing and governance forums.
- Collaborate across Risk Specialist teams within CCOR to deliver a joined-up second-line service.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Conduct Risk, Compliance, or Regulatory Risk, ideally within a Business or Commercial Banking environment.
- Deep understanding of UK regulatory expectations, including Consumer Duty, CONC, BCOBS, and Payment Services Regulations.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage credibly with senior audiences in governance fora.
- Confidence in balancing regulatory expectations and customer outcomes with commercial considerations.
- Experience overseeing change and transformation activities from a conduct and compliance perspective.
- Data-led approach with a growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
Nice to have
- Professional qualification related to Compliance or Risk.
- Experience shaping and developing group-level policies, standards, or frameworks.
- Experience in designing, improving, or testing controls.
