What you will do

• Create 3D models and 2D fabrication drawings using CAD and NX.
• Coordinate with vendors to source components for generator construction.
• Perform bench, dynamic, and system testing for all subsystem components and models.
• Execute hands-on assembly, rapid prototyping, and integration of high-voltage electric motors and generators.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with turbomachinery, power electronics, and software teams.

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering specializing in electric motors.
• Fundamental knowledge of permanent magnet electric motors.
• Experience in the design, manufacturing, and assembly of electric motors.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in El Segundo, CA.
• Must be eligible to work under U.S. export controls.

Nice to have

• M.S. in Mechanical Engineering specializing in electric motors.
• Knowledge of motor control systems, including SVM.
