What you will do

• Create high-quality 3D environments, including terrain, foliage, and organic props.
• Assemble and dress biomes and points of interest (POIs) using existing kits and assets.
• Collaborate with Level Designers and Technical Artists to ensure gameplay flow and performance.
• Develop materials, shaders, and textures aligned with the project's visual style.
• Optimize assets (LODs, draw calls, memory budgets) for target platforms.
• Iterate on environments based on Art Direction feedback and maintain pipeline consistency.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Environment Artist with a strong portfolio emphasizing organic work.
• Proficiency in Blender, Maya, and Substance Painter/Designer.
• Experience working in Unreal Engine 5.
• Deep understanding of composition, lighting, and environmental storytelling.
• Ability to create realistic natural environments and optimize them for performance.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience and a history of working on shipped live-service games.
• Experience with open-world environments and procedural tools (PCG, Houdini).
• Knowledge of ISM, HISM, and built-in harvest tools.
• Understanding of PBR workflows and shader systems.
