What you will do

• Execute complex conveyor projects, including engineering, fabrication, and start-up across North American assembly plants.
• Lead multiple equipment installations ensuring strict compliance with GM standards and safety requirements.
• Develop detailed project timelines and manage the financial aspects of conveyor execution.
• Collaborate with internal engineers and external suppliers to resolve operational issues and ensure deliverables.
• Drive lean conveyor designs to minimize total costs while optimizing material presentation for assembly.
• Generate technical solutions for conveyor challenges and track progress to ensure timely completion.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, project management, or a related field.
• Proficiency in reading, understanding, and developing conveyor layouts.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills for effective problem-solving.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Ability to travel frequently (up to 50% or more) based on project requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience as a conveyor engineer or in industrial maintenance roles.
• Technical knowledge in plant layouts, throughput, and simulation (Body, Paint, and General Assembly).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and FactoryCAD for design modification.
• Familiarity with NX software and its applications.
• Proven experience in project management.
