Salary: $180,000 - $250,000

What you will do

• Develop and execute a comprehensive government relations strategy focused on the House of Representatives to secure congressional support and funding.
• Lead authorization and appropriations-focused efforts to identify and advance policy and funding opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with legislative stakeholders to influence laws and regulations supporting the company's mission.
• Provide strategic insight to executive teams regarding congressional activity and funding outlooks.
• Represent the company on Capitol Hill, including briefing staff and preparing leadership for testimony.
• Coordinate political engagement strategies and PAC-related efforts.

Requirements

• University Degree and minimum 12 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and 10 years of experience.
• Active Security Clearance is required.
• Deep understanding of the legislative branch, annual appropriations cycles, and the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
• Previous experience working on annual appropriations bills within the House of Representatives.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to Washington, D.C.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in a corporate government affairs office.
• Experience as a staff member for a House defense appropriator or the House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee.
• Knowledge of planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) processes.
