Salary: $180,000 - $250,000

What you will do
- Develop and execute a comprehensive government relations strategy focused on the House of Representatives to secure congressional support and funding.
- Lead authorization and appropriations-focused efforts to identify and advance policy and funding opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with legislative stakeholders to influence laws and regulations supporting the company's mission.
- Provide strategic insight to executive teams regarding congressional activity and funding outlooks.
- Represent the company on Capitol Hill, including briefing staff and preparing leadership for testimony.
- Coordinate political engagement strategies and PAC-related efforts.
Requirements
- University Degree and minimum 12 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and 10 years of experience.
- Active Security Clearance is required.
- Deep understanding of the legislative branch, annual appropriations cycles, and the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).
- Previous experience working on annual appropriations bills within the House of Representatives.
- Must be based in or be able to relocate to Washington, D.C.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in a corporate government affairs office.
- Experience as a staff member for a House defense appropriator or the House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee.
- Knowledge of planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) processes.
