What you will do
- Lead the development of fraud prediction models using a mix of tabular, graph, and behavioral data.
- Build and scale feature pipelines and training datasets using proprietary and third-party signals.
- Prototype new modeling ideas, run offline experiments, and drive high-performing approaches into production.
- Integrate models into batch and real-time decision systems, optimizing for reliability, latency, and robustness.
- Instrument and monitor model and data health, defining retraining and backtesting workflows.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Fraud Analytics, and Product teams to define requirements and evaluate tradeoffs.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience researching, training, tuning, and launching ML models at scale (PhD counts for up to 2 years).
- Track record of delivering high-impact ML models in low-latency live settings.
- Strong Python skills and experience writing production-quality code.
- Experience with tabular classification (e.g., LightGBM, XGBoost, CatBoost) and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch preferred).
- Proficiency with distributed data processing (Spark, Ray, or Dask) and ML lifecycle tooling (Kubeflow, Airflow, MLflow).
- Must be based in Canada.
