What you will do

• Architect scalable, highly available backend services using Scala, Java, Go, C++/C or similar.
• Design and implement distributed systems powering the platform across sovereign and air-gapped clouds.
• Solve architectural trade-offs in concurrency, storage, and networking for resilience in high-consequence environments.
• Drive zero-waste compute optimization for resource-constrained regions like GovCloud.
• Partner with Production Engineering to ensure security, compliance, and high availability of backend services.

Requirements

• Candidates must be eligible for a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance.
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Strong production experience in Java, Scala, Go, or C++.
• Experience building and deploying large-scale SaaS or cloud-native applications.
