Systems Administrator (AWS)

What you will do

• Lead technical efforts in directing and monitoring operations of information systems and secure cloud solutions.
• Manage the full lifecycle of system engineering for mission-critical server infrastructure, including design, build, deployment, and maintenance.
• Administer and harden Linux and Windows Server operating systems to mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Support the migration of on-premises infrastructure and legacy applications to secure AWS GovCloud environments.
• Handle database administration for sensitive information, including installation, performance tuning, and backup strategies.
• Conduct security assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability analysis according to federal cybersecurity regulations.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass a CBP background investigation.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration for Windows and/or Linux in cloud-based environments.
• In-depth hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch) in a secure government context.
• Must be available to work a hybrid schedule with on-site requirements in Ashburn, VA.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Management Systems (or equivalent experience).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
