TL;DR

Business (Unit) Leader (gn) Bars - ESN (FMCG): Own the build-up and scaling of the Bars business (protein, muesli, other bars) within the ESN brand with an accent on revenue growth, profitability, and innovation speed. Focus on defining growth strategy, portfolio decisions, channel execution, and cross-functional leadership to turn the category into a high-velocity growth engine.

Location: Hamburg, Germany (hybrid with ~1 visit per month to HQ)

What you will do

  • Own revenue, margin, growth, and core KPIs (velocity, repeat, channel performance) for the Bars business
  • Define and drive growth strategy with trade-offs, translating into focused execution
  • Build and scale winning bars portfolio across segments, formats, flavors, and pricing
  • Partner with leadership, finance, R&D, supply chain on budgeting, innovation, and operations
  • Develop channel-specific strategies (DTC, Amazon, retail) for pricing, promotion, and marketing
  • Lead high-performing team and cross-functional setup with data-led decisions and prioritization

Requirements

  • 10+ years in product marketing, category marketing, commercial roles, ideally in FMCG, food, snacks, or sports nutrition
  • Proven track record owning and scaling categories/businesses with impact on revenue, margin, velocity
  • Strong understanding of FMCG dynamics in high-rotation categories like snacks/bars
  • Experience managing product complexity (SKUs, formats) and portfolio decisions
  • Knowledge of product/pricing/promotion/channel impacting sell-through and repeat
  • Experience across multiple European markets; fluent in English (German strong plus)
