What you will do
- Lead technical art direction and oversee the quality of deliverables for an unpublished R&D product.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including selection, onboarding, performance development, and feedback.
- Establish and optimize pipelines and workflows to eliminate technical hurdles for artists.
- Collaborate with discipline leads and production teams in Singapore and Los Angeles to maintain quality standards.
- Provide technical support for art and animation in Maya and Motionbuilder.
- Prototype new products and build effective asset generation pipelines.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as a technical artist in games or related industries.
- Deep expertise in Character Rigging, deformation systems, and dynamics (cloth, hair, physics).
- Strong proficiency in Maya (Python/C++) and Unreal (Python, Blueprints).
- Proven experience leading and mentoring teams and individuals.
- Experience with source control tools such as git and perforce.
- Strong communication skills in English or Mandarin.
Nice to have
- Experience authoring pipeline tool sets for lighting, shaders, and content optimization.
- Knowledge of 3D math and UX/UI principles applied to tool development.
- Experience managing distributed teams across different time zones.
- Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
