What you will do

• Lead technical art direction and oversee the quality of deliverables for an unpublished R&D product.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including selection, onboarding, performance development, and feedback.
• Establish and optimize pipelines and workflows to eliminate technical hurdles for artists.
• Collaborate with discipline leads and production teams in Singapore and Los Angeles to maintain quality standards.
• Provide technical support for art and animation in Maya and Motionbuilder.
• Prototype new products and build effective asset generation pipelines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a technical artist in games or related industries.
• Deep expertise in Character Rigging, deformation systems, and dynamics (cloth, hair, physics).
• Strong proficiency in Maya (Python/C++) and Unreal (Python, Blueprints).
• Proven experience leading and mentoring teams and individuals.
• Experience with source control tools such as git and perforce.
• Strong communication skills in English or Mandarin.

Nice to have

• Experience authoring pipeline tool sets for lighting, shaders, and content optimization.
• Knowledge of 3D math and UX/UI principles applied to tool development.
• Experience managing distributed teams across different time zones.
• Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
