Director of Engineering (Cloud)

Location: Hybrid in Dublin, Ireland (Must be based in Dublin)

What you will do

• Lead teams of engineering leads and individual contributors, fostering a culture of growth and learning.
• Collaborate with product management and senior leadership to design and ship improvements to the Atlas Clusters Control Plane and Data Plane.
• Work with stakeholders across the organization to build the product roadmap and offerings.
• Ensure smooth and timely execution of projects while providing visibility to all stakeholders.
• Handle customer escalations and participate in the on-call rotation.
• Scale the organization while ensuring high job satisfaction and a vibrant, inclusive culture.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of people management experience.
• At least 8 years of professional software development experience.
• Proven success in designing, writing, testing, and maintaining large-scale, distributed backend systems.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Must be based in Dublin for the hybrid working model.
• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating across organizational boundaries.
