TL;DR

Onboarding Analyst (Fintech): Conducting KYC and KYB checks to ensure regulatory compliance in AML and CTF within a business credit card platform with an accent on risk identification and screening. Focus on reviewing PEPs, Sanctions, and Adverse Media alerts while optimizing the customer onboarding journey.

Location: Hybrid in Cardiff (1-2 days a week in the office)

What you will do

• Complete KYC and KYB checks across the product range accurately and efficiently.
• Review PEPs, Sanctions, and Adverse Media alerts to identify potential risks.
• Escalate complex hits for Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).
• Handle "grey area" cases by gathering necessary information and seeking senior guidance.
• Contribute ideas to optimize the efficiency of checks for customers.

Requirements

• Proven experience conducting KYC/KYB checks.
• Solid grasp of identifying PEPs, Sanctions, and Adverse Media hits.
• Background working in a regulated financial services environment.
• Experience balancing necessary due diligence with a professional customer journey.
• Proven ability to communicate compliance requirements clearly to customers and stakeholders.
• Comfort navigating multiple internal systems and adapting to different risk appetites.
